How to deploy the EPWCS

*Find a printable PDF version below.

1. Unpack the EPWCS

Remove the EPWCS from its storage bag.

2. Position on deck

Lay the EPWCS out on the deck with the brand logo facing upwards.

3. Connect the tow rope

Open the EBS carry bag and carefully remove the folded skin. Lay it out on the deck or gunwale ready for deployment.

4. Position the bow hood

Hold the tow rope up to keep it elevated. Pass the two stern ropes to the rider and have them pull the ropes under the PWC until the bow hood.

5. Secure the seat straps

Instruct the rider to pull the Velcro straps up and over the seat, securing them snugly to each other.

6. Anchor the handlebars

Have the rider wrap the front rope (attached to the top of the bow hood) over the steering handlebars to keep the hood secure while idling.

Note: This rope does not need to be tight; it simply holds the hood in place until you get underway.

7. Commence towing

Leave the two stern ropes trailing freely in the water and begin towing the disabled PWC back to shore.

Note:

Towing speeds depend on conditions, but a maximum of 15 knots is recommended for rider comfort. After use, hose the EPWCS with fresh water and hang it to dry thoroughly before storing it in the bag.
